Inside the Outsider 2018

INSIDE THE OUTSIDER is the latest project presented by Veronica Vitale – International Recording Artist from Pompeii, Italy: for 2018. Inside the Outsider is considered a total revolution for the European and Italian market and way of thinking about music projects. Although all the songs can be listened to independently, there’s a unique common ground when all the songs are held together by the major plot; starting from the opening theme, through the 15 tracks and finally to the ending theme there’s a linear story. The album concept plays around a painful and complex journey of life around the world for Veronica Vitale, searching for the inner self as musician and composer, breaking the common standards and the limits of what music has always have been in her own country for the past 10 years. Veronica’s worldwide travel is told as an epic hardship on a cold pirate’s ship deck, wiling to start at the bottom, as ”deck boy”, to come back after all as Captain in her land. The ship is used as a metaphor for her music’s work. Her memories and life’s lessons are written in a personal diary “The Captain’s log book” also translated as “Diario Di Bordo”, which begins as she leaves the Mediterranean Lands to reach out for the United States of America and new horizons, while she’s preparing herself for the day she can finally go back to Italy with her mission fully accomplished.

Young James Brown

Narrator - "Fairtales Unplugged"

Tony Wilson, is a Chicago native, and has entertainment in his blood. Tony was personally selected by Brown to portray the Young James Brown in “Funk Blast”. Brown personally named Tony the “Young James Brown” on the movie set…the only person to ever receive such an endorsement by the Godfather himself!

“It’s hard to define your own music style, but sometimes I like to think of it as “Liquid Dubstep and Indie Pop” genre, brought up together with a full experimentation of several styles, sounds and a pure combination of different ambiences and music areas, naturally born to be distinct but still, perfectly matched together in a new form of interesting music. My latest experience in the US has shown me that in the U.S. people of any age wants to see on stage something out of the ordinary. It’s beautiful to have the power to perform unplugged/acoustic songs with a grand piano, anytime, and keep the music real, not only digital. My songs can be presented unplugged and acoustic anytime, always with a new different spirit. I want a kind of music genre suitable everywhere for any occasion and everybody meant as…universal language.”  of art.

The term “liquid” stands for liquid modernity –  to better describe the condition of constant mobility and change I see in relationships, identities, and global economics within contemporary society.  According to Zygmunt Bauman. We have moved from a period where we understood ourselves as “pilgrims” in search of deeper meaning to one where we act as “tourists” in search of multiple but fleeting social experiences.
